National Sea Grant American Lobster Initiative

American Lobster Research Program - 2019-2021

Support research to address critical gaps in knowledge about how the American Lobster and its fishery is being impacted by environmental change.

Northeast Regional Extension Lobster Program - 2019-2022

Ensure that industry and management stakeholders across the northeast region benefit from the research conducted to support American lobster and its fishery. This includes lessons learned and best practices developed to support the sustainability of the fishery and its associated communities and economies.
