Who is the Wise and Faithful Servant? The Wise and Faithful Servant: Plans for both immediate and a delayed return of the Master Does not presume to know exactly when the Messiah will return. Who is the Wise and Faithful Servant? The foolish servant: Thinks she knows when He will return. Does not plan beyond that moment. Instead of building on His words, they presumed to know His return and so would not plan ahead. The foolish servants built on the sand, and in the end destruction came to them. Applications for Today Today is the day of salvation. For he says, “In a favorable time I listened to you, and in a day of salvation I have helped you.” Behold, now is the favorable time; behold, now is the day of salvation. 2 Corinthians 6:2 Each and every day we should awake and act as if today is the day of our salvation. Applications for Today There is a time to serve Him and repent, there is a time when it will be too late. All of these parables teach about this truth. that no one is sexually immoral or unholy like Esau, who sold his birthright for a single meal. For you know that afterward, when he desired to inherit the blessing, he was rejected, for he found no chance to repent, though he sought it with tears. Guidance for Today Thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, to all the exiles whom I have sent into exile from Jerusalem to Babylon: Build houses and live in them; plant gardens and eat their produce.
