Common Assessment Data Revelations

  • A change in assessment – previously the assessment only measured what student

know about the language – not what they could do with the language. This means that our department has had to adapt their teaching strategies.

  • Teacher and Students need more opportunities to practice and assess

interpersonal speaking

  • Teachers need support on teaching in the target language all the time, while

providing input that students can understand with visuals, gestures and context.
