We offer small, interdisciplinary courses that focus on problem- based learning, support creative thinking, and encourage students to be active learners. We strive to foster the engaged learning, leadership, adaptability, and understanding necessary to thrive in a diverse world.

  2. Benefits • Small class sizes: 20 students max (12-15 average) • One-on-one relationship with professors • Honors Lounge Activities • Events • Honors designations on transcripts • Engagement Opportunities

Activities Exclusive to the Honors Lounge • Honors Salon – Monthly lecture series led by faculty or administrators • Tutoring in the Lounge – Tutors available inside the lounge on a walk-in or appointment basis • Pantry Mondays – Recharge with food and snacks available in the lounge every other Monday

Admission Criteria New Incoming Students Continuing Students • Personal Statement • 3.5 GPA • Recommendation from counselor, • Completion of ENG 101 with a teacher, or employer B or better • AND at least one of the following:  High school transcript and GPA  Previous/transfer college coursework and GPA  Minimum SAT scores of 550 Verbal and 550 Math  HCCC Placement Test scores
