  2. DISCLAIMER As TCL’s guidelines are being updated, the Human Resources Department will discuss what we know about return to work, and we will address any questions or concerns to the best of our ability. As these guidelines and protocol are being developed, they are also subject to change.

  3. RETURN TO WORK – WHAT WE KNOW As TCL prepares to return employees to the workplace, the college is committed to ensuring our employee’s health, safety and well-being remains a top priority. HR will update the Employee Resource web page with college return guidelines, tips, resources, and strategies to help employees during this time. As we enter the “phased approach” to return to our “New Normal” operations, we will continue to discuss what we know and will address any questions or concerns to the best of our ability. During this time the guidelines are subject to change as we continue to follow federal, state and local entities and the information these entities present to the college and to our communities.

  4. RETURN TO WORK – WHAT WE KNOW TCL will return to campus utilizing a phased return that will require an incremental and flexible approach while following guidelines from health officials to minimize the spread of COVID19. Timing of each phase is based on operational requirements, the health, safety, and well-being of our employees. PHASE ONE “SOFT OPENING”– June 1 PHASE TWO – at a minimum June 15 th with more realistic time of July 1 PHASE THREE “NEW NORMAL” – TBD

  5. RETURN TO WORK – WHAT WE KNOW – CAMPUS ACCESS PHASE ONE- Open to employees only – no students and closed to public. Modified operating hours during this time 7:00am until 7:00pm. No personal visitors, family members (including children) on campus for students or employees. Phase Two – continued from Phase One with updates and exceptions Phase Three – Open to students and to the public. Measures put in place to minimize exposure to employees and continuing to follow proper guidelines for hygiene, sanitation and social distancing.

  6. RETURN TO WORK – WHAT WE KNOW – STAFFING PHASE ONE- Approximately 20% office occupancy will be a guideline in this phase but not a requirement. PHASE TWO - Larger percentages of personnel are allowed to return to campus. Approximately 50% office occupancy will be a guideline in this phase but not a requirement. PHASE THREE - All employees expected to return to campus.

  7. RETURN TO WORK – WHAT WE KNOW – STAFFING PHASE ONE- Flexible work schedules, alternate times, staggered days. Remote work encouraged and may be combined with on campus work. Limited contact of employees in work areas. Accountability for 37.5 hours per week. PHASE TWO – Flexible work schedules, alternate times, staggered days. Remote work approved and may be combined with on campus work. Increased employees in work areas. Continuing limited contact with other employees. Accountability for 37.5 hours per week. PHASE THREE - All employees expected to return to campus. All remote work must be requested per procedure and approved accordingly. Accountability for 37.5 hours per week.

  8. RETURN TO WORK – WHAT WE KNOW - HEALTH, PPE, AND HYGIENE Phase One - All employees returning to campus should follow the advice of public health officials. Employees are encourage to self-report illness to supervisors or HR Director. Employees are encouraged to take temperatures from home before reporting to campus. DO NOT REPORT to campus if any fever exist. Facemask are required for employees when in common and open areas. Phase Two – continued from Phase One with updates and exceptions Phase Three – continued from Phase Two with updates and exceptions

  9. RETURN TO WORK – WHAT WE KNOW - SOCIAL DISTANCING Phase One - Meetings held via Zoom or in an area set up following 6’ social distance rules. Employees required to follow 6’ social distance rules in all areas including personal workspace, common areas, labs and classroom. No congregating or lingering in open and common areas. Conference rooms, auditorium, kitchen areas and break areas closed. Phase Two - continued from Phase One with updates and exceptions Phase Three - Meetings held via Zoom or in an area set up following 6’ social distance rules. Employees required to follow 6’ social distance rules in all areas including personal workspace, common areas, labs and classroom. Re-open conference rooms and break areas for small groups. Classroom and publically accessed areas re-open with social distancing plans to be determined.

  10. RETURN TO WORK – WHAT WE KNOW – SANITATION Phase One - Sanitation stations are located at all building entries. Sanitation cleaning supplies are located in all buildings for staff and faculty to use as needed in workspaces, offices suites, classrooms and labs. Staggered office space usage with employees disinfecting in between. Phase Two – continued from Phase One with updates and exceptions Phase Three – continued from Phase Two with updates and exceptions

  11. RETURN TO WORK – WHAT WE KNOW – TRAVEL Phase One – Travel ban for all faculty and staff. College vehicles are authorized for facilities use only. Phase Two – Travel ban for all faculty and staff. College vehicles are authorized for facilities use only. Phase Three – Travel may resume based on guidelines set by federal/state/local entities.

  12. RETURN TO WORK – WHAT WE KNOW REMINDERS Phase One “Soft Opening” will begin June 1 continuing essential function while returning some additional functions on campus. Employees Only – no students and closed to the public – full-time employees on campus – temporary employees remain working remotely. Should include those employees who are necessary to perform essential tasks, including the task of preparing the campus and verifying that it is ready for others to return, and those who cannot effectively perform their roles from home. A minimum numbers of employees should be included in each subsequent phase of your return. State recommendations of 20% office occupancy. This will allow for time to assess the effectiveness of planning and make any needed adjustments.

  13. EMPLOYEES RETURNING TO WORK - REMINDERS • Employees are going to be constantly reminded to not report to the workplace if sick and/or experiencing symptoms of COVID-19. • Employees will be sent home if symptoms occur at work. • PLEASE stay home if sick.

  14. EMPLOYEES RETURNING TO WORK - REMINDERS Face masks/coverings are required when in shared workspace, restrooms, • common areas. Avoid face touching – eyes, nose, mouth, etc. • Frequently wash hands with soap and water for 20 seconds or use hand sanitizer • with at least 60 percent alcohol. Wipe down your workspace with disinfectant several times per day and before • you leave. Employees will be trained on public health guidance, specific guidelines, and • information about properly donning/doffing PPE and cleaning and disinfection.

  15. RETURN TO WORK – WHAT WE KNOW - REMINDERS Approach to Work to Ensure Flexibility and Social Distancing • Adjusted work schedules • Staggered start and end time of shifts to avoid congregation • Alternate days on campus for employees • Limited number of employees in the workspace areas

  16. RETURN TO WORK – WHAT WE KNOW - REMINDERS Common areas, including break rooms or meeting rooms, where individuals • are likely to congregate have been restricted during Phase One and Phase Two. Expanded cleaning of high touch areas. • Remove high touch areas such as extra chairs, furniture, trash can lids. • Elevators and stairwells should be limited to number of employees. • Meetings will be conducted via conference call or video conferencing • whenever possible. One-way flow of movement through offices where feasible. • Limit face-to-face interaction when possible. • Appointments may need to be scheduled with each other instead of walk- • ins.

RESOURCES FOR RETURNING TO WORK - REMINDERS • Face masks will be provided for employees, students and possibly visitors. • Work environment set up allowing 6 ft social distancing or other mitigation strategies are in place to reduce the risk of infection. • Physical means to mark 6 ft distances where practical. • Check-in, reception areas and other defined traffic areas have been supplied sneeze guards. • TCL is currently working on obtaining boxes of commonly needed supplies to assist departments with safety and sanitation. College working to procure additional hand sanitizer, disinfectant spray, disinfect wipes at a minimum.
