  5. Proposed Materials FLL Welcome Sign and Broward County Logo Sign Principal LED lighting are high quality LED sign components that with stand the harsh conditions of Florida and has held up very well the 8 years we have been using the product. We only use 5052 strength structural aluminum or steel framing that will not rust since we prep, prime and paint the steel with marine grade primer. We use non corrosive hardware that will not rust in the tough Florida environment. Solicitation: PNC2115316P1 The plastic we use is Plaskolite , a leading brand of plastics in the sign industry. Vinyls – we use 3M film products. Paints – Matthews automotive paint with a 5 step paint process, 1 primer, 2 coats of paint, 2 coats of clear coating protection. 820 N 4 th St, Lantana, FL 33461 / 561-588-2027 / CGC 1516626 / CBC 05038 / AA 26001503

  6. Ease of Maintenance FLL Welcome Sign and Broward County Logo Sign Serviceability: Our team designer will have pre design meetings with Don Bell Sign’s production team to make sure we are placing the lighting components in a waterproof area that can be easily accessible to service in the future. Power supplies that power the LED’s are usually the first to go out years down the road and we make sure they are accessible by roof or bucket truck. We build access doors that are flush to the back or return (side) of the sign cabinet with counter sunk screws that won’t be visible from the ground. Solicitation: PNC2115316P1 Cleaning: we suggest an annual cleaning of the sign by the sign vendor or airport maintenance crew. This consists of light pressure washing with water hose and ivory soap. The idea is similar to washing a car. A light wax is not necessary but it would be good to do if not annually, then at least every two years. This will protect your investment for many more years, similar to a car’s finish. 820 N 4 th St, Lantana, FL 33461 / 561-588-2027 / CGC 1516626 / CBC 05038 / AA 26001503
