  5. Document Actions and RFCs since Paris ! 3 new WGs, 3 WGs closed ! 435 new I-Ds (66% in last 4 weeks) ! 833 updated I-Ds (71% in last 4 weeks) ! 61 IETF Last Calls ! 92 approvals ! Around 100 RFCs published (47 standards/BCP) ! These numbers are all down a bit ! Annual rate about 340 I-D approvals (270 RFCs) ! 3 appeals, 2 requests for suspension of posting rights ! 400% up ! Slightly worrying trend

I chose to create PESCI to operate in design team mode, as a way to bootstrap some progress on IETF process change I recognise that some people found that decision arbitrary, but the ! intention is firmly to submit the outcomes to the rough consensus process ! PESCI produced a first draft and held a BOF today Sam Hartman and Bert Wijnen acted as ADs ! Initial goal is to identify a list of Principles for the Change Process ! This will be brought to the community for debate and consensus !
