Clothes and PE Kits

Please name - Coats, uniform, bags and bottles. Ensure a warm jacket or coat is brought everyday as we learn outside all the time regardless of the weather. For PE - Children need an Academy T shirt, a pair of shorts and black pumps. Remember - write your child’s

name in all items of clothing. We will let you know which

day we are doing PE as any earrings will need to be removed at home.

What Ofsted had to say… ‘The rich and exciting learning activities are matched closely to the children’s needs which are helping them make rapid progress’. ‘Children are supported to develop thinking skills and to learn through discovering things for themselves’.

Letters and Numbers

This is the scheme we use to teach sounds,

reading and writing. Google ‘Read Write Inc’ to find

  • ut more. We will be sending home a book of

‘sounds’ to learn and write and we add new ones each week. Reading - Reading is about sharing and developing a love of books. In Term 2 the children will bring home books to share and these are changed once a week. They will spend a lot of time in school learning to read.
