Student Account- how to log in

  • Go to studentportalen.gu.se
  • Use your Swedish personal number (without letters)

Follow the instructions on how to activate your student account and use the log-in for university admissions/antagning.se

  • Your username and your new password will be presented on screen. Write down

your new password and keep it in a secure place!

How to issue a GU card

To order your GU card you have to be registered on a course in Ladok at University of Gothenburg. GS administration will register the courses for you on August 31st - only thereafter can you order the GU card. For more information regarding the GU card and how to order it, please visit GU card. After ordering the GU card you need to visit a Servicecenter to get photographed and to pick up your card.

The Service centers have extended opening hours 8am-6pm during the period August 29-September 12. Servicecenter Haga will also be open on Saturday September 8 10am-4pm. The services at the Centre and locations of other centers

Exams

  • SIGN UP!
  • Registration site opens 3 weeks before the exam – and closes 10 days before the

exam.

  • Register for exams in Ladok Online services (access from Student Portal)
  • Cancel if you are unable to attend.
  • If you do not register, you will NOT be able to write the exam.
  • All exams are anonymous when corrected.
  • Examination results are published on the web page for the course (GUL page).
  • Number of exams offered: 1 exam, 1 re-exam and sometimes 1 exam in end of August.

Extra exam opportunities will not be provided.

  • You can pick up your own exam paper at the Graduate School Student Office. The digital

exams are available online on your student account (DISA Account)

  • When you have picked up and signed for your exam paper you cannot ask for a re-

assessment of your exam answers.

Elective courses

  • The GS administration prepares a list of master courses to choose from.
  • The list is distributed to students in the beginning of December and middle of May.
  • Students choose courses in a web based application form.
  • Oversubscribed courses: students are ranked based on grades.

Rules for studies and examinations

  • Visit GS Student Portal and read:
  • Rules for studies
  • Rules for Examinations
  • Local Examination rules
  • Watch the film “What is plagiarism?” and take the 3 tests. See instructions on

“Letter of Agreement” (blue paper)

  • Sign “Letter of Agreement” form and submit by 7 September at the latest at the

Graduate School Office. Cheating and plagiarism is a serious offence and will be reported to the Disciplinary Board!

  • 2 for each programme and year, i.e. 4 in total for each programme.
  • Find your representative on the GUL page for each course and in

GS Student Portal.

  • Important link between the students in your programme/courses

and the course responsible teachers, the Programme Coordinator (academic) and administration in regards to course evaluations, views on the education, and other student related issues.

  • More information and selection in early September.

  • Library information is MANDATORY! - see date and time in your course schedule
  • n GUL.
  • There are several types of examinations. For example: assignments, group work,

written exam on paper or digital.

  • Christmas holiday only if there is free time in the course schedule. Check your

schedules!

  • GS Administration only distributes information by GUL and your student e-mail

account.
