TECHNOLOGY Wasilah Bata Lite™ is develop using Cellular Lightweight Concrete (CLC) technology which consist of Water + Cement + Sand + Foam Agent to create a superior brick product compared to others traditional and conventional brick solutions

INTRODUCTION

• Cellular Lightweight Concrete (CLC) technology was created in

Europe around 80 years ago.

• CLC has many advantages compared to normal bricks. Over the

years it has gain the interest of industry players and housing developers.

• In Europe, an estimated three out of five new houses are built

by using CLC blocks particularly in Germany, Sweden, and the United Kingdom.

• In

Malaysia, CLC blocks has been recognized by the government through professional bodies such as CIDB and SIRIM and listed as part of Industrial Building System (IBS)

• The usage of IBS materials is encouraged by the Green Building

Index (GBI), which provides incentives to housing developers who uses it.

GOOD THERMAL INSULATION

• Wasilah Bata Lite™ contains millions of micro-air cell that serves as an

excellence thermal insulation.

• Heat from the sun takes eight hours to penetrate a Bata Lite wall.

This advantage creates a cooling effect where the temperature inside the house remains at a comfortable level, even when the temperature outside reaches more than 40°C.

• As a comparison, red clay bricks requires wall thickness of 3.5 times

greater or 35cm thicker to achieve good insulation compared to Bata Lite™.

COST SAVING

• 1 block of Wasilah Bata Lite™ is equivalent to 8 pcs ordinary brick
• Each Wasilah Bata Lite™ block weights only 1/3 of the total weight of

common bricks.

• The size of Wasilah Bata Lite™ is larger and lighter, enables it to bond

faster and easier, thus saving time and labour costs.

• The accuracy measurement of Wasilah Bata Lite™ ensures walls are

easily plastered and thickness can be reduced to 6-10mm, compared with ordinary brick of 15-25mm.

• In addition, Wasilah Bata Lite ™ uses ordinary cement for bonding and

plastering process whereas AAC blocks need special cement or cement glue which are more expensive.

FIRE PROOF

• Wasilah Bata Lite™ is manufactured without the use of organic

materials, making it non-flammable. In addition, millions of micro-air cells helps to suppress the fire from spreading through walls.

• Tests have been conducted in several countries according to

ASTM standards, including tests made by SIRIM Malaysia showed a 100mm thick wall that was built using CLC Block could withstand heat up to more than 4 hours, more than the 2 hours time frame set by Malaysia fire department.

LOW WATER ABSORPTION

• Wasilah Bata Lite™ has the lowest water absorption compared with other types
• f bricks available in the market, which is just 14% of absorption of water

compared to ordinary clay brick.

increasing the shelf life of the paint.

GOOD SOUND ABSORPTION

• Acoustic Sound Absorption rate or Absorption Coefficient by Wasilah Bata Lite™

at a deficit of 750Kg/m³ is about 0.35, equivalent to Acoustic Plasters used for special soundproof room.

• Wasilah Bata Lite™ excellence levels of sound absorption makes it highly

suitable to be used as the outer wall and the wall for separating rooms. HIGH COMPRESSIVE STRENGTH

• Wasilah Bata Lite™ has a high compressive strength which comply with

MS 2282-3: 2010 standards set by SIRIM for non-load bearing wall.

• The strength of the block will continue to increase in line with life expectancy like
