It offers a platform for information exchange, awareness

raising, and training raising, and training

It leverages the existing competencies and best practices of

stakeholder groups and develops new formats for education and awareness raising

It seeks to draw together stakeholder groups that have

What makes INB’s awareness raising materials and methodology unique?

The INB takes a future-oriented approach, recognizing that rapid

advances in biotechnology require both (a) surveying the current state-

  • f-the art and (b) looking to the future to consider medium- and long-

term possibilities

The INB offers both basic and advanced awareness raising and training

materials, available on the INB portal and upon request (workshops and seminars)

The INB strengthens private-public partnerships under the flag of the

scientific individual and coorporate responsibilities, due to the new challenges and risks brought forward by this XXI Century Biotech Renaissance.

Synergies with the Existing International/National Instruments

Within the G7 Global Partnership (GP):

Reinforcing coordination between the Biological Security

sub-Working Group (BSWG) and the Chemical Security sub- Working Group (CSWG) in the context of rapid advances in Working Group (CSWG) in the context of rapid advances in biotechnology

Promoting a culture of security and safety Creating a «whole of international governance

approach» to mitigate the potential misuse of edging bio technologies and life science developments.
