Ofgem’s final decision for the Gas Significant Code Review (SCR) was published

• n the 23rd September 2014. This documented the changes required to the Gas

Deficit Emergency (GDE) Cashout arrangements and the introduction of arrangements that recompense End Consumers for involuntary demand-side interruption of supply during a GDE. These changes to the UNC are required to be implemented on the 1st October 2015. To support the requirements of the GDE Cashout arrangements, Xoserve is developing a solution to calculate the charges for MPRNs that are eligible for compensation as a result of a Gas supply emergency. Please note it is expected a GDE event will be very rare, potentially this will never

• The Energy Balancing Invoice (.IDB) will have one new record type ‘D18’

to reflect charges.

• 3 primary and 3 adjustment charge types in total.
• Charges will scheduled as per existing Energy Balancing Invoice.
• All charges and compensation payments will be issued to Shippers.
• Supporting Information (SI) files will be sent for each of the new primary

charge types.

• Transfer mechanism for SI is via IX.
