Saratoga Springs – Lakeshore Trail

• Saratoga Springs has an ongoing project to build a

new section of the Utah Lakeshore trail.

• Saratoga Springs was awarded $996,000 in 2014
• Need additional $300,000
• 10% contingency = $99,600
• Need and additional $200,400

Proposed Motion: I move that we modify the Transportation Improvement Program to add $300k to the Utah Lakeshore Trail Project.

Utah County Disadvantaged Transit Pass Pilot Program

• UTA was awarded $135,000 CMAQ funds for Van Pool

Expansion

• UTA and Utah County would like to modify the scope of the

project to a pilot program that would provide transit passes to disadvantaged groups. (Graduates of the Utah County Jail’s RISE program and unsheltered victims of domestic violence)

• Pilot program would last five years
• Match would be provided by The Church of Jesus Christ of

Latter Day Saints and other faith based organizations

• A major change to the scope of a project within the TIP requires

RPC approval

Proposed Motion: I move that the TIP be modified to reflect the scope modification of the UTA van pool program to the Disadvantaged Transit Pass Pilot Program.
