Liturgical Cycle A
The Shepherd’s Perspective
Following last weekend’s news of Fr. Poul’s brother's tragic and unexpected death, Raju Narisetti, I ask that you please continue to keep Fr. Poul and his family in your prayers as Our Lord reveals His will to Fr. Poul during this time. Obviously, Fr. Poul’s unexpected departure affects the flow of life here at St. Patrick’s and I want to take this opportunity to share with you how we will proceed until we hear further
- news. I have reached out to a number of brother priests who will be assisting us with some of our Holy
Masses on weekends moving forward. To be specifjc, following this weekend, the two Mass times that will be regularly impacted by visiting priests are the 7:30 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. Sunday Masses. Aside from that, I will be looking after all else unfolding at St. Patrick's and I want to thank many of you along with ALL OF OUR LEADERS IN VARIOUS MINISTRIES for your assistance during this time… Please know that ALL ARE WELCOME to our Spiritually Charged Wednesday and Friday evenings: WEDNESDAYS: 5:45 PM The Holy Rosary, at 6:15 PM Novena to our Lady of Perpetual Help, 6:45 PM the Holy Sacrifjce of the Mass… The evening concludes at 7:15 PM FRIDAYS: 6:15 PM The Holy Rosary, 6:45 PM the Holy Sacrifjce of the Mass, 7:30 PM Heart of Jesus Eucharistic Adoration… That evening concludes at 8:30 PM As some of you may be aware, the Diocese is in the process of building a beautiful Marian Shrine dedicated to our Lady of the Rockies in Canmore, Alberta—the place where I was blessed to spend well
- ver 20 years of my life growing up—and while they are always looking for donations to assist with this
incredible project, the Legion of Mary requests prayers to be offered up so that hearts will be moved to help contribute towards the huge shortfall of $ 8.0 million required to complete the church. IT IS OUR GOAL TO REACH 8 MILLION MEMORARES. The goal of St. Patrick’s Legion of Mary is to secure as many faithful in each parish for the Memorare Army who can pledge 1,000 Memorares by reciting 10 Memorares daily to help build the Shrine of Our Lady of the Rockies at Canmore. Please see the insert in this weekend's bulletin for instructions on how you can become a ‘Prayer Warrior’ for Our Lady of the Rockies Shrine in Canmore.
In Christ,
- Fr. Jerome
