Message What the Legion does and how it does it Pass on information received from County and Head Office Spread the word of what your Branch is doing locally
Membership Publicity can: • generate new members • enthuse your own members Best communication is your members: • generating conversations • talking to people • speaking to other organisations in the area to spread the message
How? Have a conversation starter: • wear your Veterans badge • wear your Legion badge This can generate conversation If you see someone else wearing one then engage in conversation
Who? Everyone has a role to play: • many are too shy or think they are not entitled to lead such conversations • who is your people person? • who is charismatic? Put a display in the local Centre Produce a Welcome Pack Get your message out
