The Chaos of Conflict Ephesians 4:25-32
1. Seek to Speak the Empowering Truth.
Ephesians 4:25 Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to your neighbor, for we are all members of one body.
Ephesians 4 28 Anyone who has been stealing must steal no longer, but must work, doing something useful with their own hands, that they may have something to share with those in need.
Ephesians 4:29 Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.
2. Deal With Your Anger Before It Takes Over Your Life.
Ephesians 4:26-27 “ In your anger do not sin ” : Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, and do not give the devil a foothold.
Ephesians 4 30 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. 31 Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice.
3. Be the Giver, not the Taker.
Ephesians 4:28 Anyone who has been stealing must steal no longer, but must work, doing something useful with their own hands, that they may have something to share with those in need.
1 Thessalonians 4:11-12 ... make it your ambition to lead a quiet life: You should mind your own business and work with your hands, just as we told you, so that your daily life may win the respect of outsiders and so that you will not be dependent on anybody.
4. Make Kindness and Compassion the Key Word of the Day — Every Day.
Ephesians 4:32 Be kind and compassionate to one another...
Ephesians 4:32 Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.
Romans 3:10 (KJV) There is none righteous, no not one.
To Avoid / Resolve Conflict • Speak the empowering truth in love. • Deal with your anger before it gets out of control. • Be a giver, not a taker; carry your own weight. • Treat others with kindness and compassion.
Ephesians 4:30 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.
Romans 12:18 If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.
Make your life a no-conflict zone.
