"Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power . . . with the breastplate of righteousness in place."

“Righteous” – acting or being in accordance with what is just, honorable, and free from guilt or wrong

Psalm 11:7

"For the LORD is righteous, he loves justice; upright men will see his face."

God’s righteousness means that God always acts in accordance with what is right and God himself is the final standard of what is right.

Deuteronomy 32:14

“All his ways are justice. A God of faithfulness and without iniquity, just and upright is he.”

Isaiah 45:19

“I, the LORD, speak the truth; I declare what is right."
