Our Mission Edison Arts Foundation is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit fine arts organization established for the educational and charitable purpose of producing and developing cultural and performing arts programs for children, adults, and families throughout the community. About the Executive Director CHARITY CARTER FBAAD, Fort Bend Academy of Arts and Dance 2016 Greater Houston Black Chamber of Commerce Pinnacle Award Recipient Charity Carter is the Owner and Artistic Director of FBAAD, Fort Bend Academy of Arts and Dance. She is a native of Houston, Texas and has been dancing for over 25 years and teaching for over 25 years. She is a graduate of Sam Houston State University where she studied dance under the direction Dana Nicolay. She holds a bachelor of fine arts in dance, with a teaching certification in dance and a minor in business and education. Charity has taught dance in Aldine I.S.D., Houston I.S.D., and Texas Southern University. Currently she is the fine arts liaison for Jean Hines Caldwell Elementary, cultivating arts education programs with the Houston Ballet, Young Audiences, The Alley Theatre, Hobby Center, Aperio, FotoFest International, Meca, and many more…

  5. Our Dance Company… ANDANCE Alice Nealie Dance Jr. Company, simply known as ANDance, is a pre-professional dance company housed in Missouri City’s very own Fort Bend Academy of Arts and Dance. Established in 2011, ANDance has been a self-esteem building, confidence strengthening entity since its genesis. It equips young dancers, ages 7-18 years old, with a performance-based dance company experience. ANDance Jr. Company cultivates and prepares young dancers for career paths in dance.

  6. Our Dance Company… ANDANCE ANDance Jr. Company members expand their dance education by becoming disciplined, developing artistry, improving technique, and performing regularly. With full development of these components, company members are equipped to enter the world of professional dance.

Hester House, Happy Angels Learning Center, The Bearrington School, West Orem YMCA & Texas Medical Center YMCA, The Imani School and many more can receive quality fine arts and dance education, programs and instruction. • Th The Edi dison Arts Founda dation has incorporated numerous programs including ANDance Jr. Company, S.T.A.R. Summer Theatre Arts Repertory, and AAA, Afterschool Arts Academy. • Th The Edi dison Arts Founda dation sponsors many cultural and performing arts collaborations with FBAAD, Fort Bend Academy of Arts and Dance to host workshops and Master Classes with the some of the most world renown dance companies like the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre and Dance Theatre of Harlem.
