Parental Strategies for Prevention

 Don’ t overreact, kids fear that you will call the other parents or

school, blame the victim or take away Internet privileges

 Be supportive, sticks and stones can break bones  Let the guidance counselor know to watch for in school bullying

and child’s response

 Children go between role of bully and victim  Is your child at risk of physical harm or assault?  How are they handling the attacks emotionally?  Take a printed copy of all instances to LE  Use a monitoring software ie Webwatcher or eBlaster
