Children have SEN if they have a learning difficulty which calls for special educational provision to be made for them
– Have a significantly greater difficulty in learning than the majority of children; or – Have a disability which prevents or hinders them from making use of educational facilities; – Are under compulsory school age and fall within the definition above or would do so if provision was not made

– A single assessment process 0-25 which is more streamlined, better involves children, young people and families and is completed quickly; – An Education, Health and Care Plan which brings services together and is focused on improving outcomes; and – An offer of a personal budget for families with an Education, Health and Care Plan. – Joint Commissioning for education, health and care provision – Local Offer providing information on services
