Background

Individuals with Disabilities are often marginalized… Community integration is dependent on the extent to which

an individual participates in activities of daily living in the normative community environment.

Access to transportation both is an ADL and supports

participation in ADLs.

Transportation is a critical factor in community integration.

The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship

between Utah Transit Authority fixed-route bus and light-rail service patterns in the Wasatch Front and the spatial- temporal organization of individuals with disabilities’ activities of daily living across Utah’s Wasatch Front.
