Erasmus Plus • is the European Union programme for education, training, youth and sport • runs for 7 years, from 2014 to 2020 • invites organisations to apply for funding each year to undertake creative and worthwhile activities • aims to mod odernis ise education, training and youth work across Europe • is open to education, training, youth and sport organisations across all sectors of lifelong learning, including school education, further and higher education, adult education and the youth sector • offers opportunities for participants to study, work, volunteer, teach and train abroad in Europe and further afield

DG EAC, EACEA, National agencies (NA) and National Erasmus+ Offices (NEOs) The EACEA orchestrates the actions undertaken at national level providing information on Erasmus+, selecting projects to be funded, monitoring and evaluating Erasmus+, supporting applicants and participants, working with other NA’s and the EU, promoting Erasmus+, and sharing success stories and best practices. Erasmus + Key Action 1: Learning mobility of individuals • aims to encourage the mobility of students, staff, volunteers, youth workers, and young people • organisations can arrange to send or receive students and staff to or from participating countries, as well as organise teaching, training, learning and volunteering activities KA107: international credit mobility Your own NA will tell you: which partner countries are involved for your own country and which flows will be recognized: for students BA, MA, DO, for teaching staff, for training staff (IN-OUT) Key Action 3: Support for policy reform aims to increase the participation of young people in democratic life, especially in discussions with policy makers, as well as developing knowledge in the fields of education, training, and youth Jean Monnet opportunities for teaching, research, and policy debate on the EU and its policies Sport designed to develop and implement joint activities to promote sport and physical activity, identify and implement innovative activities in the field of sport, and manage not-for-profit events to increase participation in sport

Key Action 2: Innovation and good practices is designed to develop the education, training, and youth sectors through 5 main activities: 1.Strategic partnerships to support innovation in the sector as well as joint initiatives to promote cooperation, peer-learning, and the sharing of experience 2.Knowledge Alliances to foster innovation in and through higher education together with businesses, and beyond, contributing to new approaches to teaching and learning, entrepreneurship in education, and the modernisation of higher education systems in Europe 3.Sector Skills Alliances to tackle skill gaps and ensure a better alignment of vocational education and training with labour market needs. There are opportunities to modernise VET, exchange knowledge and best practices, encourage working abroad, and increase the recognition of qualifications 4.Capacity-building projects in the field of higher education to support the modernisation, accessibility, and internationalisation of higher education in Part artner Cou Countrie ies 5.Capacity-building projects in the field of youth to support the development of youth work, non-formal learning, and volunteer work, as well as promote non-formal learning opportunities with Partner Countries

  9. Main changes introduced in 2017 • The introduction of the concept of “European priorities in the national context” under KA2 Strategic Partnership. For more information on this, please visit the website of each relevant National Agency! • The funding rules for some decentralized actions have been fine-tuned • The action "Sector Skills Alliances" is no longer covered by this General Call and Programme Guide and will be dealt with separately through a Specific Call for Proposals announced by the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency • As in 2016, the 2017 Programme Guide places a special focus on encouraging projects supporting socia ocial in inclu clusion (n (notably of of refugees and mig igrants), as well ll as preventi ting radicali lisation • New: Recommendations on the inclusion of higher education students and staff with physical, mental or health- related conditions in the Erasmus+ programme https://ec.europa.eu/programmes/erasmus-plus/sites/erasmusplus/files/erasmus-plus-recommendations-higher- education_en.pdf
