RISE Act

  • On June 21, 2019, the Retention of

Illinois Students & Equity (RISE) Act was signed into law, with an effective date of January 1, 2020. As described in the enacting legislation, the Act provides that “a student who is an Illinois resident and who is not otherwise eligible for federal financial aid, including, but not limited to, a transgender student who is disqualified for failure to register for selective service or a noncitizen student who has not obtained lawful permanent residence, shall be eligible for state financial aid and benefits…”.

Ø Can Undocumented Students Go to College?? 100% YES! Ø Do Undocumented Students need to apply to college as international students? NO! Most states offer in-state tuition to students who have been in United States High Schools a specific number of years. Ø Do Undocumented Students qualify for FAFSA? NO! While Undocumented Students do not qualify for FAFSA, they do qualify for many private and institutional scholarships. In Illinois, the RISE Act has

Lake Street Addison, IL 60101 6-11 p.m. Plated meal will be served at 7:00 p.m. No entry after 8 p.m. Post prom Moonlight Cruise upon the Mystic Blue Navy Pier 600 East Grand Avenue Chicago, IL 60611 11:30 - 4 a.m. (1-3a.m. cruise) *Students must take the bus to Navy Pier, no exceptions!

favors,dinner, post prom (inc. light appetizers/soda, coach bus (to/from) Navy Pier, DJ, photo booth, & Banda. After 5/1, prices $175

business office (senior expectations, permission slip req.) Only cash/money order accepted

  • Guest approval deadline 5/1

privilege of attending Prom can be taken away for behavior deemed disrespectful or inappropriate in any form at the discretion of the
