Date of Assessment: Deploy May 2019 Location of Spill: 26 NM Offshore Shinnecock Type and Amount of Product Spilled: 28,500 bbl of lubricating oil (potential) Cause of Spill: WWII tanker wreck Other Agency Involvement: Resolve, NY DEC, SUPSALV, NOAA, USCG (ATL Strike Team, SERT, DRAT, SILC, USCGA) UPDATE/OUTLOOK:

Date of Spill: 10 Aug 2018 Location of Spill: Montauk, NY Type and Amount of Product Spilled: 100 Gal Diesel Fuel Cause of Spill: Operator error. Other Agency Involvement: Harbormaster, East Hampton Marine Patrol, Sea Tow Concerns: Tourists and onlookers, adequate resources, geography, time, and other competing operational demands. Lesson Learned: Check your math when refloating.

Date/Location of Spill: 18 Aug 2018, Norwalk, CT OSLTF Ceiling: $50K Type and Amount of Product Spilled: 3 Gal Diesel Fuel Cause of Spill: Sunk at the pier Other Agency Involvement: Marina Manager, Moran Environmental, CT DEEP, NPFC Concerns: RP resources, liability, salvage expertise, removing environmental threats, and scuttling suspicion. Lesson Learned: Plug all drains when refloating.

Lesson Learned: Open the Fund early. Unity of effort is key. Condo association should be considered a best management practice. DEEP has more funding flexibility in terms of payment plans.
