  15. 2018 Headlines so far… fit for a purpose • We send on average over 30% of students into higher education year-by-year • Over 40 supervisors and coaches received national coaching awards in rugby and football and training in chess • 20 SoH’s now have 4 iPad tablets programmed with the Kenyan curriculum • Complementary sanitary pad programme.   16. It works! 2018 Headlines so far… fit for a purpose Meet some of the 16 students from Makina School of Hope in Kibera who, because of their attendance, are starting their higher education at Colleges and Universities this month. Taking children out of poverty through education

She was a pupil at Glory School of Hope in Kibera She became a supervisor, before studying Community Development at St Paul’s University combining her studies with an internship for ChallengeAid. He attended Makina, Kibera School of Hope, has been a supervisor for three years and is now studying at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology for a B.Sc. in Operation Research.
