Accomplishments

2017-18

2018 Piedmont Triad Education Consortium Signature School Recognized by Washington Post as one of the “Most Challenging High Schools” in America. Exceeded Expected Student Growth. #1 in GCS; #9 in North Carolina 2018-19. Increased the percentage of student IB Diploma recipients at HPC and GCS by 70%. GCS District - 2018 Teacher of the Year, Brooke Sumner Established HPC Athletic Hall of Fame.

2018-19

Increased Career Readiness Certifications. Class of 2019 increased their service-learning hours to 20,241. Partnership with YMCA Latino Resource Center. $10,000 Say YES grant for Student Support resources. $10,000 grant from CompTIA Creating IT Future awarded to our Technology Student Association Increased number of Community Partnerships Created a School-based Food Pantry.
