 Conduct IAB meetings.  Represent the Board at MEP/MESA functions and meetings.  Remain in position for a 1 year term with the possibility of a 1 year extension.  take over Chairperson's duties when that individual is unable to fulfill his/her duties. Vice Chairperson will be encouraged to replace Chairperson upon completion of term. Send name of nominee to Yadira Oseguera at yoseguera@projects.sdsu.edu

What?

  • 3-day camping event for high school, community college and university MESA

students.

  • Students participate in:
  • various competitions that promote the use of leadership skills, teamwork and

strengths attributes.

  • StrengthsQuest seminar in which they learn how to use their top 5 strengths

(resulting from an online StrengthsQuest Survey).

  • professional development seminar in which they learn how to create effective

cover/interest letters.

2012 Leadership Summit

Evaluation Summary Overall, the Summit was characterized as a positive experience as depicted in the responses to the individual questions and the students’ overall experiences. The average responses were 3.1 or greater for all of the individual topics students were asked to rate. Improvement of the food was the most frequent response to what can be done to improve the Summit.
