Wang et al., discuss three forms of concept drift: Intension: the definitions and associations of a concept. A pig is an animal with four legs (not three), a mammal (not a fish) and usually lives on a farm. Extension: the range of stuff a concept extends to. Pigs inhabit four continents and there are approximately 2.000.000.000 pigs worldwide. The European Union has an X number of countries (but the intension can stay the same) Label: the words we use to denote a concept. We now call pigs by the word of hog (but the intension can remain the same)
