  • The vehicle lost control.
  • Coming home, I drove into the wrong house and collided with a tree I don't have.
  • I thought my window was down, but I found out it was up when I put my hand through it.
  • A pedestrian hit me and went under my car.
  • The guy was all over the road, I had to swerve a number of times before I hit him.
  • In my attempt to kill a fly, I drove into a telephone pole.

T he tria l

Commenced with 6 Vehicles in a 12 month trial using both Telematics and Mix Vision between August 2015 and July 2016

  • 2 Vehicles each in NSW, QLD and VIC

As the trial began realised the technology could be used to meet many key criteria within the business:  Previous GPS tracking system was EOL  Majority of units were 2G  Leveraging on Global initiatives with MiX Telematics the wheels were set in motion to begin a trial in Australia to see whether our needs would be met  GPS tracking  Driver behaviour  Vehicle behaviour  Consignment tracking  At fault accident management  Fuel efficiency – go green MiX Vision gave us an insight as to what happens at the time of events such as Harsh Braking

Big Brother

The perception of Big Brother is watching every move being made. The feeling was negative and emotions ran high.

Dispelling the rumours..

 Management is watching in some vehicles but not listening  Management is watching when an event is recorded such as Harsh Braking  Management are NOT sitting at a computer watching live feeds while people are driving

In cab buzzers

When a operator is driving outside the set parameters ie without their Driver Blue Key, Over speeding, Harsh Braking etc the In Cab buzzer will Alert the Driver

Stop the buzzing

Corrective action stops the in cab alert i.e. Insert Driver Blue Key, reduce speed, allowing enough distance to slow down instead of jumping on the brake, driving to the conditions
