Software

• Computer aided dispatch software would need to be

consolidated.

• Records management software would need to be consolidated.
• Each agency and the dispatch center would need to be able to

access the software.

• RI Chiefs of Police have formed a committee to look at a

statewide RMS and CAD system.

Taking dispatchers out of their local community may result in dispatchers who are less familiar with local landmarks. High quality mapping software would be an important component for regional dispatch.
