OMB and Grants About: OMB serves the President in overseeing the implementation of his vision across the Executive Branch Mission: OMB’s mission is to assist the President in meeting his policy, budget, management, and regulatory objectives and to fulfill the agency’s statutory responsibilities Critical Processes: 1. Budget development and execution. 2. Management, including oversight of agency performance, human capital, Federal procurement, financial management , and information technology. 3. Regulatory policy, including coordination and review of all significant Federal regulations by executive agencies. 4. Legislative clearance and coordination. 5. Executive Orders and Presidential Memoranda. 3

These Goals tackle critical government-wide challenges through the three Key Drivers of Transformation under the PMA. K EY D RIVERS OF T RANSFORMATION Across all CAP Goals, Government modernization will be rooted in the intersection of transforming technology, data, process, and people rather than working in silos. 6

Achieve Program Goals & Objectives: Hold recipients accountable for good performance practices that support achievement of program goals & objectives; & streamline burdensome compliance requirements for those that demonstrate results. 11
