- Worked tirelessly to organize supplies and support for Alvin
Elementary families in the weeks and months following Harvey.
- Supported Alvin Elementary students by helping with their
Veterans Day Blanket Drive.
- Mr. Malone is committed to his community and has
dedicated himself to serving the people of Alvin.

- Helps with the Alvin High School Choir by leading the Booster Club,
lending a hand at concerts and looking for ways to improve our school.

Conference with AJH administrators and staff.

Celebration.
- She also has served on our Campus Education Improvement
Committee this year, and on our Campus Needs Assessment Committee.
- Mrs. Kimbriel has been an asset and resource for reaching out
to the parents of AJH.

Fernando Valdes
- Mr. Valdes has offered Alvin Junior High support both,
financially and educationally.
- He generously supported Alvin Junior High during the
Turtle drive, and has sponsored 50 turtles for Alvin Junior High students every year.
- Educationally he met with Alvin Junior High and provided
his insight for their campus improvement plan. He has also served as Alvin Junior High community partner representative on the District Education Improvement Committee.
- Mr. Valdes always has been, and will continue to be an
ardent Mustang supporter.

- You can find Stacey at Alvin Primary every Thursday
helping teachers with all the tedious work that it takes to prepare for lessons in a primary school.
- Her smile and enthusiasm exemplifies the positive
culture at Alvin Primary.

David "Mac" McElmurry
- Sponsor of last year's very successful Rock N' Roast
fundraiser for disadvantaged youth in Alvin ISD,
- Showed its support by generously donating to the
Alvin Education Foundation on behalf of ASSETS Academy during this year's turtle race.
- Provided lunch to ASSETS Academy staff during the
Staff Appreciation week.
Dedra Bethel
- Ms. Bethel comes in every week to help our
teachers and staff.
- She volunteers in the library, helps with laminating
and is a friendly face willing to help our teachers with whatever is necessary to support our students!
Michael Davis
- Mr. Davis was instrumental in providing a
Christmas luncheon for Don Jeter Elementary staff in addition to ongoing support throughout the school year.
Ling and Brad Dewalt
- Mr. and Mrs. Dewalt volunteered every week, often multiple
times a week, to support Red Duke Elementary EARLY Robotic competition teams.
- They both assisted in building and transporting one of Red
Duke exhibition boards multiple times.
- They exhibited great knowledge, patience, and dedication to
Red Duke students!
- Additionally, Mrs. Dewalt is a member of Red Duke
Elementary phenomenal PTO board.
Brandon Knauth & Mark Lopez
- Mr. Knauth was instrumental in facilitating our very well
received Duke Family Math Night @ H.E.B. Plus in Pearland earlier this year.
- In addition to providing their facility, H.E.B. Plus also
generously donated drinks, snacks and prizes for the event. Additionally, they donate snacks and drinks for the winning grade level for our annual plastic bag recycling contest held each April.
E.C. Mason Elementary
- Ms. Sammai Mosqueda
- Ms. Mosqueda volunteers many hours to support our
PreK teachers and works with Ms. Landry serving as E.C.. MAson parent representative in LPAC's throughout the year.
Angie Henley
- Mrs. Henley has been an incredible volunteer and supporter for Fairview Jr.
- She serves on Fairview JH Action Team for Partnerships and has assisted
with many of their community outreach events such as their chili cookoff.
- She led FJH choir's Bundt cake fundraiser, which was a huge undertaking,
while the choir director was out on maternity leave.
- She serves Fairview Jr. High at least once a week in the library and makes
copies and laminates for teachers. She is always willing to step in and help and we are lucky to have her as well as serve her children at Fairview Jr. High.
Joe Saladino Jr.
- Mr. Saladino is being recognized for his generosity and the continued support
he gives to the students and staff of Fairview Junior High.
- Mr. Saladino has served on the District Executive Improvement Council as a
parent and community representative as well as catered several free meals for Fairview Junior High staff. He has supported Fairview Junior High Career Day by being a favorite presenter for the past two years, (giving each student he speaks to a gift certificate to Joe's). More words cannot express our appreciation to Mr. Saladino Jr. and Joe's Barbecue.
Simply, Ms. Rodriguez is always willing to lend a hand whenever is needed to ensure that every Hasse student and staff has the support needed to complete their daily tasks.

- Ms. Vaughn is always willing to do whatever is needed for
- ur campus. She is always looking for ways to help our
community and students have a better environment to live.

- Pastor Peoples is always willing to help our Hood Case
Elementary with anything they might need.
- He and his congregation at Heights Baptist Church
donated innumerable supplies for Hood Case teaching staff.
- He never hesitates when asked to assist in any capacity.

- Pastor Jason Lee and members of this church community
have been valued partners with Manvel High School.
- They were instrumental in providing support to students and
families after Hurricane Harvey and have generously provided space for the local food pantry in our community.
- They are always there to assist whenever needed, and we are
truly grateful for their support.
Stephanie Mark
- Mrs. Mark is always present at Manvel Junior
- High. . As President of Manvel Junior High PTO ,
she has helped many of Manvel Junior High programs accomplish their goals.
- She has been a part of Manvel Junior High since
its opening and she will be missed next year.
Ben Beveridge
- After expressing an interest in having more dads involved in
Mark Twain Elementary Watch D.O.G.S. program, he met with the PTO and set out to raise funds to begin the implementation
- f the program. His enthusiasm and organization was
instrumental to bring dads into the program kick-off.
- He helped recruit over 30 dads to volunteer their time at Mark
Twain Elementary to show their children the importance of
- education. The Watch D.O.G.S program would not have gained
the support of the faculty and parents without Mr. Beveridge's commitment.
Arlene Hame
- Ms. Hame has volunteered the last few years in some many
capacities at Mary Marek Elementary. She has served as PTO
- fficer, Classroom Parent , Library Volunteer, etc.
- This year, she has dedicated one full day a week to help at
Marek’s library. Library staff can count on her when they need help. Marek Elementary is thankful for the time she gives to their school.
Erica Escobedo
- Ms. Escobedo is always ready to help Meridiana Elementary at
any time.
- She is currently Meridiana Elementary’s PTO President and in
this role, she has scheduled volunteers to help in the library, run pictures, help organize for family events and even decorate!
- This year was made easier just by all the help she has provided.
Pastor Craigh Hayes
- Pastor Hayes has been very helpful this year for Meridiana Elementary.
He is currently a member of Meridiana’s Campus Improvement Committee.
- This year, he donated comic books and sponsored a comic book author
visit
- He comes to Meridiana Elementary twice a month to help organize a
"buddy lunch' with students. During “Buddy Lunch”, the students come in and eat lunch, play games, and have a short presentation.
Pastor Ed Flemings
- Pastor Flemings collaborates with Meridiana
Elementary to implement the MITY Program (Mentors Igniting the Youth). He and some of his church mentors come to the school every week to work with the 4th and 5th grades students who have been nominated to have a mentor.
Faith Tabernacle Baptist Church
- Gina goes above and beyond helping with PTO. Signs
up volunteers, helps organize different events, and is always a phone call away when needed.
- Eric went above and beyond getting the Watch Dog
program set up at Nolan Ryan JH.

- Always supportive of our education leaders.

- Mrs. Frank has been an active parent volunteer at Passmore Elementary
for the past 5+ years.
- She ALWAYS maintains a helpful positive attitude. She is a constant
presence at Passmore Elementary and is willing to help in any capacity.
- She is Passmore’s current PALS president and organizes fundraisers
that support Passmore’s students not only academically but with fun events as well.
- She is a role model not only for the students, but for the staff as well.
- Mrs. Frank is a great person that is admired by all at Passmore!
Rebecca Zahalan & Jamie Headley
- Both of these ladies put countless hours into starting up
Pomona's Pirate PTO. They gathered data, motivated parents and staff members, recruited officers, raised funds, completed IRS paperwork to become a non-profit
- rganization, got sponsors for the club and school, started
new clubs at Pomona, and put their own money into starting it.
- They did all this without complaining. They gave selflessly
- f their time and money to make Pomona Pirate’s PTO a
huge success.
Russell Bynum & Lori Evans
- Pomona by Hillwood Communities has provided
backpacks, fun events, funds, new sponsors for events, supply drives and meeting space for Pomona Elementary.
- They also posted positive things about our school on their
social media accounts.
- They have held the Polar Bear Plunge to benefit our
Pomona Elementary for the past two years.
- Mr. Carrillo is a Watch D.O.G.S. at Rodeo Palms JH who requested to
spend his time volunteering in the ESL classroom because he was an ESL student when he was in school. He has a heart for our students because he remembers when he was a middle school student.
- He has come in on several occasions to speak to the students about the
fact that success in life can start right now in middle school.
- His main goal is to have the students keep their future goals in their
view, so that the goals can drive their day to day decisions to make the right choice in all things. We applaud and appreciate his efforts in bringing the community and success stories to share within the walls of Rodeo Palms Junior High.
Manuel Carrilo
- Pastor Clemons and his church organized relief efforts after
Harvey.
- Pastor Clemons is relentless in finding ways to assist us with
- ur students on this campus, from sponsoring t-shirts for 100
- f our students attending a Black History Field Trip to
loading up and riding a bus as chaperone.
- His commitment to our community is admirable and
definitely praise worthy!

- Mrs. Martinez is a member of Savannah Lakes Elementary
PTO and the campus Title I representative.
- She volunteers for all activities throughout the year with a
smile.
- She has shown commitment and dedication to the school by
working countless hours to support our SLE family.
Maria Christina Martinez
- Mr. Cacolice is an outstanding community member that is
always there for not only his daughter, but for all the students of Savannah Lakes Elementary.
- He's an active member of Savannah Lakes PTO and works
tirelessly in different avenues to ensure all the students have what they need.
John Cacolice
- Mary Karmoukos is Shadow Creek High School VP of Band
- Fundraising. She’s at the school almost daily fitting kids for
marching and concert uniforms, hemming pants and dresses, washing uniforms, and she helps coordinate all of SCHS Band fundraising and sponsorship.
- Shadow Creek High School couldn’t do what they do without
- Ms. Karmoukos. She is critical to SHCH.
Mary Karmoukos
- Premier Pools and Spas has gone above and beyond their
community duty to support all students and programs at Shadow Creek High School.
- Shadow Creek High School truly appreciate their partnership
and their commitment to ensure the student’s success.
Yolanda Unger
- Mrs. Davis has helped form Shirley Brothers Elementary very
first P.T.O.
- She has helped SBE raise money to purchase soccer goals,
basketball goals and a cover for the playground.
- She treats teachers monthly with lunches and small tokens of
- appreciation. Mrs. Davis also volunteers at the school regularly.
Lucrecia Davis
- Mrs. Harrison has helped Shirley Brothers Elementary
tremendously at the start of the school year before the school even had a budget by providing food, gifts and prizes at the meet the principal night for students and parents as well as during summer teacher in-service days.
Thearry Harrison
- If you peek into a Stevenson Primary Pre-Kindergarten or
Kindergarten classroom on any day, you just might see Missy Evans in the midst of students as she helps with both loving hands and a caring heart.
- Ms. Evans frequently devotes her time to assist Stevenson’s
young learners. If there is a special day, event, project or activity happening, you can count on Ms. Evans to be working besides teachers to make sure that the students and parents are well-supported and enjoying every learning experience.
Missy Evans
- This year, Phillips 66 awarded Stevenson Primary with a
$25,000 grant. This grant was used to purchase listening stations, iPads, books for literacy instruction and other items that engage learners. We extend our deepest gratitude to Phillips 66 for their generosity and support of our Stevenson Primary students.
Jeff Lesco & Mike Marsh
- Mrs. Melodi Meshek has become a priceless asset to Walt Disney
Elementary these past few years.
- She is at Walt Disney almost every week helping in the library and with
the robotics teams.
- Walt Disney will miss her greatly when she moves next year with her
daughter to junior high. Her consistency and amazing work ethic are truly one of a kind, and Walt Disney is proud to recognize her today for all of the invaluable help she has provided to their students and staff.
Melodi Meshek
- Nicole Bilgen served as the Wilder PTO President this year. In this role
she has worked countless hours volunteering her time and resources for Wilder Elementary students and staff.
- Ms. Bilgen ensured that the PTO was an extension of the school, and
worked to collaborate closely with staff in everything the PTO worked
- n this year. She has been a tremendous asset to the Wilder family and
will be greatly missed as her family relocates out of state next year.

- wEw Educational Consulting & Associates LLC has been a blessing to
the Wilder students this year in multiple ways.
- They sponsored Wilder students for the Alvin ISD Education
Foundation Turtle Adoptions this year.
- They also made it possible for all 850 Wilder students to attend an extra
field trip by donating grounds passes to the Rodeo for our students.
- Wilder Elementary appreciates their support for their students and is
excited to continue partnering with them in the future.

Frederick Jefferson
- Alvin ISD Federal & Special Programs would like to recognize Mr. Jefferson for
working tirelessly in the community and schools to advocate for individuals with disabilities.
- He stepped up during Hurricane Harvey to help families with special needs
children get the resources needed for their specific road to recovery.
- He heads up the Man II Man support group for fathers of children with special
- needs. He does advocacy at the state legislative level, has created a resource
brochure for families moving into our area, serves on the board of Mosaic in Action and does many other things in partnership with the school and community to improve services to children and adults with disabilities.
Rick Torrison
- Alvin ISD would like to recognize Mr. Torrison for being a
tremendous benefactor for the Alvin and Pearland area after Hurricane Harvey. Rick and his foundation housed and distributed supplies and materials that were instrumental in clean up and recovery efforts for many in Alvin ISD.
Constable Buck Stevens
- Alvin ISD would like to recognize Constable Stevens as he was
a valuable point of contact in the recovery efforts following Hurricane Harvey.
Cinthia Walker
- Alvin ISD would like to recognize Harvest Point Fellowship
Church for being an invaluable partners to make the READy program a success by allowing the Book Bus to park at the church parking lot so that Shadow Creek Area parents and preschoolers could attend the READy Program.
- The Church also allowed the READy Program to use their
classrooms for the program during inclement weather.
