  • Description of terminology/syntax in Appendix 5a
  • Possible multiple use by alignment to multiple streams (by Granulation Table)
  • Granulation Table (for Appendix 4a only), also described in Annex 5a
  • Headlines in capital letters
  • Abbreviations of some subjects changed:
  • DPR for Data Processing subject (instead of DAT)
  • HUF for Human Factors subject (instead of HUM)
  • DTA for Data subject (instead of DAT)
  • Abbreviations of some streams changed:

Proposed changes to Annex XIII

→Technical content part

  • Subject “Facilities (FAC)” inserted into BASIC Training
  • Parts “Functional Safety (FST)” removed from the single domains and shifted to QLF.SHR
  • “Information System Security (ISS)” intended as a new part in QLF.SHR
  • Practical elements no longer contained or mentioned in QLF (other action verbs used)
  • NAV-MLS objectives and stream removed (not standard equipment and very rarely or not

used any more in Europe)

  • Some updates based on technical intention (e.g. X.25 removed, SWIM added, etc.)
  • Update and/or deletion of old elements and/or references based on technical development
  • Some adaption of taxonomy based on training experience
  • Some new or changed alignment of objectives to streams based on technical issues

Proposed changes to Annex XIII

→Introducing a unique objective identifier

→ For implementation, documentation and audit purposes it is beneficial to identify a training objective in a unique and unambiguous way. → To enable this, a unique objective identifier (UOID) is introduced which is even capable to designate a training objective across professions (e.g. ATSEP, ATCO, FCL).
