Quality Standards for CO2

• To analyse the need for new/adapted standards for CO2 quality, to

facilitate the development of the emerging CCU industry

• Do we need other standards than the existing food grade ?
• Who needs standards + for which reasons ?
• How many different standards, for which types of situations ?
• To push for the development of such new standards (as needed),

in cooperation with the relevant standardization bodies.

• Are there CO2 transportation standards (e.g. in pipelines) ?
• 4. How many further standards do we need to define ?
• Will depend on responses to question 2 above (groupings based on similar requirements)
