SERVICE: In 2017-2018, we donated 589 pounds of food to the emergency food pantry SERVE in Stafford, 313 pounds canned goods to a food bank in Fredericksburg and 145 pounds to the Fredericksburg Regional Food Bank MORAL AND SPIRITUAL TRAINING: Through a combination of secular activities and proper understanding of Islamic teachings, AMWA is committed to ensuring its members understand the true meaning of Patriotism COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT: We organized numerous interfaith events, published 75+ articles to remove misconceptions, participated in tree planting, community meetings, CPR training, community clean-up projects and worship watch trainings with the police department

SERVICE: In 2017 - 2018, we donated 589 pounds of food to the emergency food pantry ‘Serve’ in Stafford, 313 pounds of canned goods to Region Food Bank in Fredericksburg, 245 pounds of food to Food Drive for Acts in Woodbridge, 17 boxes of Thanksgiving food items to Salvation Army in Woodbridge, and 6 boxes of school supplies to Rockledge Elementary School in Lake Ridge. Also, 12 Gift Bags containing blankets, chocolates, and cards were given to Greenfield Senior Assisted-Living Facility in Stafford and a blood drive was arranged at Masroor Mosque for “Muslims for Life” COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT: We published more than 75 articles in local newspapers to remove misconceptions about Islam, organized 2 interfaith programs to promote understanding between different faiths, held 12 “Coffee Cake and True Islam” events, and books, literature and flyers were distributed. We sent numerous New Year’s greeting cards and gift bags to public officials, churches, and neighbors. We also participated in tree planting, community meetings, CPR training, community clean-up projects and worship watch trainings with the police department
