CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM (CIP)
- Drafted annually & parallels with the City’s
annual operating budget process.
- Five year outlook allows for planning &
prioritization of projects.
- Projects are grouped by type: Parks,
Transportation, Stormwater, Water, Wastewater, and Municipal Facilities & Equipment.
- Once finalized, all projects listed in the
FY2020 column are to be included in the annual operating budget.
CIP PROCESS
- Departments submit CIP projects to Finance to format for discussion.
- Projects are assigned a Project Number (not numbered by priority).
- Cash Flows are created for each funding source identified.
- Multiple meetings are held with the City Manager and Department Directors to
discuss projects and to determine the priorities.
