CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM (CIP)

• Drafted annually & parallels with the City’s

annual operating budget process.

• Five year outlook allows for planning &

prioritization of projects.

• Projects are grouped by type: Parks,

Transportation, Stormwater, Water, Wastewater, and Municipal Facilities & Equipment.

• Once finalized, all projects listed in the

FY2020 column are to be included in the annual operating budget.

CIP PROCESS

• Departments submit CIP projects to Finance to format for discussion.
• Projects are assigned a Project Number (not numbered by priority).
• Cash Flows are created for each funding source identified.
• Multiple meetings are held with the City Manager and Department Directors to

discuss projects and to determine the priorities.
