Motivation

The CloudDBAppliance project will create a European cloud database appliance for providing

data analysis as a service, able to match the predictable performance, robustness and trustworthiness of on-premise architectures, featuring:

A vertically scalable in-memory operational databasefor time-critical applications
A fast analytical engine delivering real-time data
An operational data lake
The next-generation Bullion, with 120 cores and 32 TB of main memory
