Predator Prevention and Educational Barnyard Program
SLIDE 2 Purpose
To reduce wildlife injury and fatalities by:
- Demonstrating and implementing wildlife-friendly
techniques of predator prevention with owners of livestock and small farm animals
- Educating the community about these techniques as a way
to protect and conserve our local wildlife
SLIDE 3 Human Intervention with Intent to Protect
- A percentage of our wildlife
rescues are related to human intervention with the intent to protect their livestock or small farm animals from
- wildlife. Many are trapped
and killed, poisoned, shot, or relocated.
SLIDE 4 Wildlife Rehabilitation
resources rescuing and rehabilitating these injured animals with the hope of being able to release them back to the wild.
SLIDE 5 Orphans
for hundreds of wild
- babies. Many are
- rphaned after farmers
and ranchers trap, relocate and kill their mothers in an attempt to protect their stock.

appreciate the challenges faced by wildlife due to habitat loss. As their world shrinks, wild animals are often forced into conflicts with humans and livestock as they attempt to feed themselves and their young.
