  19. Security training A dedicated training to Professional Security matters is also required. In the first place, It should be organized by your host laboratory. But security training sessions are also offered by CUGA. Logically, it should be done as soon as possible. It does not amount to your 120 H training budget ! 13/01/16 Johann Collot 19

  20. Progress report and follow-up actions The normal duration of theses in France is 3 years. As much as possible we recommand you to prepare and defend your thesis within that limit. This is everybody's interest BUT THIS IS YOUR PRIME INTEREST ! Every year you will be requested to fill your thesis charter and carefully write a status report after a dedicated interview with your supervisor. This status report should be as honest as possible AND SHOULD MENTION YOUR SCIENTIFIC PRODUCTION : -papers, notes, presentations, patents... At the end of the first year, If no scientific production is mentioned, we will ask you to clarify. If nothing is added we will summon you up for an interview. Our mutual interest is to make sure that you started your thesis on very fruitful grounds !!! 13/01/16 Johann Collot 20

  21. This is an endless game. Extending the thesis duration increases the expectation on scientific production. expectation on scientific production thesis duration (in years) 3 4 13/01/16 Johann Collot 21
