 SIGNING ON FOR ATTENDANCE EVERDAY IS EXPECTED.  TEACHER WILL TRAIN STUDENTS HOW TO LOG ON TO

THE GOOGLE CLASSROOM AND LEARN THE TOOLS TO USE DAILY

 TEACHERS WILL PROVIDE A PARENT TIP LIST TO ASSIST

YOU IN ASSISTING.

 SUPPLIES NECESSARY FOR VIRTUAL WILL BE LISTED FOR

YOU TO HAVE WHEN SIGNING ON TO LESSONS.

INFORMATION AND EXPECTATIONS

 GOOGLE CLASSROOM & GOOGLE MEET WIL BE THE

PRIMARY TOOL FOR DAILY INSTRUCTION.

 STUDENT MUST WEAR THE SCHOOL UNIFORM SHIRT DAILY.  SMALL GROUPS WILL BE IN ACTION - WHEN OTHER GROUPS DOING AN

INSTRUCTIONAL TASK.

 ALL TASKS MUST BE COMPLETED AT THE EXPECTED TIME OF COMPLETION.  TEACHERS WILL HAVE SPECIFIC OFFICE HOURS FOR ADDITIONAL DIRECTION

WITH INSTRUCTION AND TROUBLESHOOTING.

INFORMATION AND EXPECTATIONS

Please have conversations with our students to understand the virtual instructional day. Explain to our students the importance of completing their work and focusing on the teacher’s directions and instruction. Encourage them daily and make them feel special in having pride in their virtual work. In the event that the school has a Fire Drill or Tornado Drill, Virtual Learners will be directed to sign on a computer website (i.e. Lexia, iREADY, Zearn, etc.)until the teacher returns. In the event that a teacher is absent: a folder will be establish for instructional tasks to be implemented that day.

INFORMATION AND EXPECTATIONS

All Virtual Learners will receive all of the workbooks and necessary resources that is utilized for daily lessons. We will be scheduling Drive – Bys for parents to pick up the workbooks, novels, and Chromebooks when all shipments have arrived at the school. STUDENTS WILL NEED A DESIGNATED SPOT WHERE THE COMPUTER IS STABLE AND THE STUDENT CAN SIT COMFORTABLY AND STILL. (Preferrably NEAR A POWER SOURCE – SO POWER IS NOT LOST. PLEASE MONITOR THE STUDENT THROUGHOUT THE DAY TO BE FOCUSED ON THE LESSONS.

Other Information: Instructional Fee $15.00– Registration Form is on our school website for School Cash Online. You will receive calls or messages for picking up Chromebooks and instructional materials. Go to JPS Website for information on WI-FI ESL Coach will be screening new students for levels and during the year all ESL students will take the ELPT Test.

INFORMATION AND EXPECTATIONS

Students will participate in the District Diagnostic Assessment for baseline skill levels, Weekly Assessment to check for skills acquired weekly, Benchmark Testing for 9-week progress levels. Your Emergency Contact persons, email addresses, and phone numbers are important. Make sure that the school office and teachers have current information. Teachers will communicate with you directly regarding expectations and lessons. Parent information will be given so you can reach the teacher.

You will be able to communicate with the teacher through email for questions, directions and troubleshooting. We are counting on you as partner with us to effectively get our teaching and learning in an active mode. Please be patient with us as we iron out some of the glitches they may occur.
