Sector Based Work Academies

Peter Martin, Sanctuary’s Group Director – Property “Sector based work academies have been tried and tested nationally and are known to offer participants a chance to learn a new skill but also the practical experience that will secure them that first job. We are proud to be providing this opportunity at our Sanctuary Grove Development in Worcester and look forward to working with local partners over the coming weeks and months to ensure the initiative is a success for all those involved” Stepnell’s Best Practice Manager, Karen Ryan “The eight candidates shortlisted by our selection team have been offered places on this fantastic six -week construction work experience programme. What is so wonderful about this scheme is that it’s shaped both to help people find employment and help construction companies like Stepnell find the right people with the right skills to meet their growing business needs”

Inclusive Learning – Employer Feedback

“Annual appraisals with employees at Worcester Bosch Group revealed that numerous

  • peratives expressed a desire to improve their English and Maths skills to help them

with tasks within their home-life. Therefore we responded to these request and

  • rganised English and Maths classes delivered by Solutions as we wanted happy and

motivated workforce. We have found that engagement in these training programmes has had a positive impact upon our employee’s life skills outside of work but the benefits of new found confidence has also been transferred to the working

  • environment. These employees are more motivated and enthusiastic and now engage

in conversations which are work related but also social interactions within the canteen which they previously avoided” Sue Bayliss, Training and Development Manager (Manufacturing), Worcester Bosch Group.
