Kappa Kappa Gamma was founded in 1870

at Monmouth College in Monmouth, Illinois

Kappa has a total membership of more than

260,000 across 140 chapters

Clemson’s Epsilon Mu chapter of KKG

became the 2nd chapter in South Carolina on March 7, 1970

Today, we have over 200 members who

strive for excellence in academics, leadership, involvement, and service

Celebrating 150 years of KKG and 50 years of Epsilon Mu this year!!

PHILANTHROPY & SERVICE

Reading is Fundamental Community Service Greek Philanthropy

RIF is our national philanthropy which addresses the alarming illiteracy crisis in

America. Epsilon Mu hosts events at local

elementary schools with reading-themed activities, refreshments, and free books. Many Kappas sign up to be reading buddies, tutors and mentors to young local students. Epsilon Mu dedicates itself to serving the community on a local level through various

rganizations like Clemson’s habitat for

Humanity, local nursing homes, and dog shelters as well as on a broader level with the Red Cross, Multiple Sclerosis Society, and the Kappa Kappa Gamma Foundation. Clemson KKG chapter prides itself on its involvement in other Greek chapter’s philanthropies, always having high attendance at Greek Week, Relay for Life, and Dance Marathon. All of these proceeds go to benefiting each respective chapter’s philanthropies.
