Check the company, the stock the chains • Should I close early? Do the math, what are your goals? • Should I take a loss? Up to you, I hate taking losses 6

  7. ONE RULE ONLY • Think like an investor, not a trader • Investors manage positions, not just transactions • Your transaction may be the beginning of a position 7

  8. SOME SIMPLE MATH • A 50 strike does NOT mean you own shares at $50 • Being assigned is not the end of the world • Being called out below your cost basis is not the end of the world 8

  10. SHOULD I MAKE ALL THE TRADES? • It is your money • There are/will be 100 or so trade recommendations in 12 month span • 1-3 positions will linger for a long time • 15-18 positions will be rolled for 1-3 weeks • Over time, you will see you become more selective 10

  11. ROLL OR ACCEPT ASSIGNMENT • Surveys show you do not want to accept assignment • Accept assignment when the stock price is 5%-10% below the strike price of a put • The math of selling calls versus rolling deep ITM puts is compelling • We will be accepting assignment on the XBI 11

  12. ROLL FOR MORE CASH • The company and the market come first - events, etc • How is the stock trading? • What are the premiums? • Do the math - what is the rate of return versus potential opportunities • Over time, rolling stocks you know is a winning tactic 12

  13. USE OUR TOOLS 13
