Outreach/education: Masterclasses

  • Masterclasses is a global program by the International Particle Physics

Outreach Group that allows students age 16-18 to be scientist for a day

  • 200+ institutions in 52 countries participate in program so far

  • Students get hands-on experience, including analysis of data
  • Several neutrino masterclasses with distinct topics are under development
  • r exist, and the International Particle Physics Outreach Group hopes to

launch new classes in 2019

  • DUNE effort under development; ProtoDUNE will have data this year!
