Shortened to 25 episodes. ● Only reason the season was made was the producer (Barry Letts) and script editor (Terrence Dicks) could not come up with a replacement ● New Doctor, Jon Pertwee. ● All stories were UNIT stories. ● Spearhead from Space – production issues. ● All exteriors were shot on 16mm film. ● Union strike. ● All interiors were shot elsewhere on 16mm film ● Broadcast from color 16mm film. ● Of the other 21 episodes, only one exists on original broadcast video tape. The other are color due to: ● Reverse standards conversion ● Mixing B&W film with off air color tapes. ● Chroma Dot restoration!!!

Doctor Who Season 12 ● Dates: December 28, 1974 to May 10, 1975 ● Episodes Planned: 26 ● Episodes Broadcast: 20 ● Blu-ray: Tom Baker Complete Season One Story Title Episodes Robot 4 The Ark in Space 4 The Sontaran Experiment 2 Genesis of the Daleks 6 Revenge of the Cybermen 4 ● New Doctor, Tom Baker ● Robot was first story with exteriors video taped. ● The Sontaran Experiment was made 100% on video tape on location. ● All time classic: Genesis of the Daleks. ● Revenge of the Cybermen was the only Cyberman story broadcast in the 1970's. ● Season ended early due to moving the broadcast time up from Winter/Spring to Fall/Winter.
