  • OMHHE has created a variety of health communication

campaigns for health disparities related health topics.

  • Most of our campaigns have centered around public service

announcement (PSA) videos.

  • Podcasts, fact sheets, infographics, and social media messages

have also been used to supplement the PSAs videos.

  • Created for American Heart Month.
  • Social media campaign that

encouraged the public to describe how they take care of their hearts.

  • The former Secretary of Health and

Human Services participated.

Lessons Learned

  • Staying engaged with the public through multiple platforms is critical.
  • Utilizing health observances and holidays can be effective for creating and

disseminating content.

  • Co-branding with other organizations can be useful in disseminating

information.

disseminating content.
