STUDIES AT NOVIA UAS Studies at Universities of Applied Sciences:  are a practically-oriented alternative to  traditional university education  gives the students an excellent combination of different hands-on skills  give the students a strong theoretical knowledge base. Bachelor level studies  comprise 210 – 270 credits  last for 3,5 – 4,5 years Master level studies  comprise 60 – 90 credits  last for 1,5 – 2,5 years (part-time studies)

  9. A CERTIFIED ORGANISATION  Novia UAS is certified by the international standards ISO 9001 for quality management systems. Novia UAS supports all students in their development in becoming conscious about quality and environmental issues.  The Finnish Higher Education Evaluation Council awarded the institution a quality label that is valid for six years beginning on 24 May 2012. The quality system fulfils the national criteria set for the quality management of higher education institutions, and the system corresponds to the European principles and recommendations for the quality management of higher education institutions.

INTERNATIONAL NOVIA  Our objective is to offer students and personnel an international study environment through internationalization at home and abroad, to promote tolerance and understanding and to develop abilities to work in an international environment.  Novias main focus areas are the Nordic countries, the Baltic Sea Region and China.  About 200 international degree students

  11. STUDENT MOBILITY  In 2014, 146 students from Novia went abroad for exchanges lasting over three months, and 261 for exchanges lasting under three months. The most popular countries were Germany, Sweden and Spain.  54 exchange students came to Novia for exchanges lasting over three months and 19 students for exchanges lasting less than three months. The most popular countries were Germany, Spain and France.
