• Over 2 Years have funded 6 projects through the Preventative Health and Health Services

block grants working towards objectives A, D, H, J, and F, with activities like:

• HPV vaccination projects across the state
• Walkable Community projects across the state
• Screening and Education projects
• Tobacco Cessation Classes
• Radon testing and education in high needs areas

• Through the CDC grant given to comp cancer there have been funded

projects on objectives H, I, J, K & L, with activities like:

• Tobacco joint mass media campaigns with TFN
• Health Literacy education for providers and health departments
• Walkability projects across the state in collaboration with DHHS Chronic

Disease

• HPV Vaccination uptake projects across the state with DHHS

Immunization Program

• Survivorship and Palliative care education for

survivors and providers with NC2

• Through collaboration we have participated in projects on objectives C3, C4, both around

colorectal cancer screening both done in collaboration with the Nebraska Colorectal Roundtable and with resources provided by the DHHS Office of Health Disparities and Health Equity.

• As well as Objective E, around lung cancer centers of excellence, lead by the cancer

centers themselves.

• …..in other words we have touched nearly every part of our

cancer plan. We’ve been hard at work, thanks to you!
