Synchronous – students participate in instructor- led live class sessions

Asynchronous – students complete assignments on their own schedule while adhering to course deadlines Attend Remotely – students attend class synchronously using videoconferencing tools, like Collaborate Ultra

Live Session – synchronous meeting with some/all of attendees participating remotely using video conferencing tools

NAUFlex is synchronous with live sessions students can attend both in-person and remotely.

• Zoom – An officially NAU-licensed videoconferencing platform available to ALL NAU

Staff and Faculty

• Collaborate Ultra – BbLearn’s built-in videoconferencing platform
• Microsoft Teams – An officially NAU-licensed videoconferencing platform that’s fully

integrated with Microsoft Office

• GSuite – includes Google Docs, Hangouts, Sites, etc. (SPA 101-201)

• Students are required to wear masks
• Individual faculty will set their own attendance policies
• If a student has an issue with the attendance policy or their assigned

attendance group, they should go to the instructor

• NAU President Rita Cheng announced in an all-NAU email that NAUFlex remote

delivery will be the primary method of instruction from August 12-28, 2020
