  2. The Opportunity...  We are keen for an enthusiastic, motivated individual to join our 5 Partner Training Practice. If you are a GP who is focussed on delivering great patient centred care, then why not join our friendly team in Annan?  This is a Partnership opportunity, but for the right candidate we would consider a Salaried position; with a view to you then joining the Partnership, by mutual agreement, at a later time.  We have 6 sessions available, with some flexibility to reduce this to 4 or 5 sessions if desired.  Whether an experienced GP of many years or a current ST3 we would be happy to hear from you.

  3. About us... The Practice: Greencroft South Medical Group is a well established 5 Partner Practice, situated in the semi-rural town of Annan.  List size 6350  We are a RCGP Accredited Training Practice with GPST1, GPST3 and FY2 trainees and also support the regional ANP Training and national DLIC Schemes.  We have a history of excellent QOF achievement and continue to maintain a strong focus on patient care.  We aim to maintain a good work-life balance and are supported by Nurse Triage in delivering the best patient care.  Highly motivated and innovative team.

  4. Partners Dr David Byers I qualified in 1986 and having done VSO work in Papua New Guinea after GP training I joined the Annan South partnership in 1995. Annan is a great place to live and work and there is never a dull day! My interests are training, respiratory health and addictions. We have a great team here and are enthusiastic about shaping the development of Primary Care in our local area. Dr Margo Donachie I qualified in 1994 from Aberdeen and moved to the area for my GP training . I enjoyed living and working in the area so much that I've never left. I travel from Dumfries to Annan, which is an easy commute. I have interests in women's health and I am a GP Trainer. Outside of work I enjoy making the most of our beautiful countryside, cycling, running and spending time with my family.

  5. Partners Dr Grecy Bell I am a General Practitioner with a keen interest in chronic pain, self management and reducing over prescribing. I believe less is more! My interests outside the practice are my family and the future of General Practice. If you join us you will not be disappointed!.. Dr David Baker I grew up in Carlisle, studying medicine at the University of St Andrews (at the same time as Prince William, though I sadly have no juicy anecdotes) and then the University of Edinburgh, qualifying in 2007. I have an interest in musculoskeletal medicine. I have spent most of my working life in Dumfries and Galloway. Outside of work, my time is taken up (as is my wife's) looking after our young daughter Aoife, whom I am trying to introduce to the joys of cricket, for which I have a keen interest. She has yet to share this passion.

  6. Salaried GP Dr Claire Campbell I grew up in Glasgow and qualified from the University of Glasgow in 2002. Initially I spent some time in hospital medicine, planning on pursuing a career in Rheumatology, but saw the light in 2007 when I changed to General Practice! I have an interest in Women's Health and Rheumatology. I have been a locum at many different practices, but joined Annan South surgery as a salaried GP in January 2017 because even as a locum I was made to feel part of the team. I really enjoy my job and the balance between work and my outside interests, which include spending time with my two children, running and sewing.

  7. Nurses and HCA Nurse Shona Starr  Nurse Heather Sweeney  Nurse Lisa Newbould  Lisa Anderson – Health Care Assistant  Margaret Murray – Trainee ANP  Our Nurses and Health Care Assistant (HCA) are responsible for providing general nursing care, including contraceptive advice, blood pressure clinics, immunisations, health education and screening as well as other specialist clinics such as asthma and diabetes. 8. The Area Located at the Gateway to Scotland. We  are close to the M74/ M6 and with access to the West Coast Mainline we are perfectly placed to reach the rest of the UK.
